On February 6 KST, it was formally declared that Choi Ji Woo had separated from YG Entertainment and signed an exclusive contract with Studio Santa Claus Entertainment.

Choi Ji Woo initially joined YG Entertainment in February 2014 and subsequently extended her contract in February 2016, affirming her commitment to an enduring partnership. Emphasizing the significance of sustained relationships in the entertainment sector, she underscored the value of enduring collaborations.

After dedicating a decade of hard work and loyalty to YG Entertainment until February this year, Choi Ji Woo is embarking on a new journey with Studio Santa Claus Entertainment following an amicable departure from YG Entertainment.

Established in 2005, Studio Santa Claus is a comprehensive entertainment company renowned for its film and drama production, OST creation, and talent management of various actors.

On this note, she said, “Once a relationship is formed, it tends to last a long time. The stylist I have been working with has been by my side for 20 years, and my manager for over 10 years. After joining YG, I heard a lot of people around me say that we get along well. We will continue to work with each other in the future. I want to continue working together so that I can better fit my image.”

Choi Ji Woo, who tied the knot with a non-celebrity partner nine years her junior in 2018 and joyously welcomed their daughter in 2020, returned to the screen last November with ‘New Normal,’ marking her comeback after a hiatus of approximately seven years since the film ‘Like For Likes.’
