Massive One Piece anime scandal erupted as D0nut2x ratted out YonkouProd over early Elbaf episode leak
One Piece fans are currently celebrating the official premiere of the Elbaf arc, which aired on Sunday, April 5, 2026. However, a significant controversy has emerged regarding a full-episode leak that allegedly occurred seven days before the official release date.
D0nut2x (@d0nut2x) disclosed a screenshot that appeared to serve as a digital receipt, identifying the alleged origin of the unreleased file. This post suggested that a small group of high-level insiders had access to the full episode well before the public broadcast.
The file, titled ‘op1.mp4’ with a runtime of 23 minutes and 48 seconds, was traced back to a veteran industry insider. By sharing the file metadata, D0nut2x publicly identified his associate as the primary source of the early distribution.

While the episode is now available through official channels, evidence indicates it was circulating in private circles since late March. The metadata confirms that a final broadcast cut was being shared among an elite group while the global fandom waited for the Sunday premiere.
The screenshot reveals the official title card for the first episode of Season 2: ‘The Longed-for Elbaf! The Huge Reunion Banquet.’ The inclusion of this final title card confirms that the leak was a finished product rather than a rough production draft.
The disclosure by D0nut2x appears to be a deliberate move, signaling a significant fracture within the private circle of leakers. By revealing the source’s private business identity, the post effectively ended a long-standing partnership between the two figures.
The Re-emergence of YonkouProd and Community Implications
A major point of discussion within the community was the identity of the source. The evidence pointed directly to YonkouProd (@YonkouProd), a prominent figure in the anime news space who had been largely inactive since 2023.
The reaction from the fandom was a mix of confusion and surprise, with many users questioning the timing of his return. This sudden re-emergence in the spotlight has come at a high cost to his professional anonymity within the industry.

Episode was allegedly shared with Pewpiece by YonkouProd
Other major accounts, including Pewpiece (@pewpiece), have also been allegedly linked to the situation by community members. Reports suggest multiple high-profile accounts may have viewed the full episode a week before the Sunday release.
We have reached out to both Pewpiece (@pewpiece) and YonkouProd (@YonkouProd) for a statement and are currently awaiting their response.
Although the original post was quickly deleted, the documentation continues to circulate online. The One Piece community is now anticipating a potential legal response from Toei Animation regarding this early breach of production security.
