RFDS Preview

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is a real institution in Australia that provides healthcare and urgent care attention to those Aussies living in remote rural areas in the Outback. From that institution, the show picks up on the lives and work of those that dedicate their lives to that endeavor. We’ll see how these men and women tend to emergencies on board an aero ambulance.

If you’re familiar with shows like ER or Chicago Fire, try to think of that premise but in rural Australia, and you get this exciting medical drama that episode after the next brings us stories that will make your spine chill. The show is filmed entirely on location to give a bigger and deeper sense of realism, and the storylines and character development are strong and take place on land, and air against a backdrop of Australia’s vast swaths of precious land.

Season two is likely to pick things up where we left off, we’re going to see more of Dr. Yates and Leonie, and how they interact with the personnel tasked with tending to these urgency cases.
