The Magic of ONE PIECE Heads to CCXPMX 2026 With First-Ever Toei Animation Showcase

The global phenomenon ONE PIECE is officially setting sail for Mexico City. In a newly announced collaboration, Toei Animation will bring the iconic anime franchise to CCXPMX 2026, marking the studio’s first-ever exhibition at the rapidly growing pop culture festival. The event is scheduled to take place from April 24 to April 26, 2026, at Centro Banamex, positioning ONE PIECE as one of the headline attractions of this year’s convention.
The announcement, made jointly from Los Angeles and Mexico City on March 24, highlights the increasing global reach of ONE PIECE, a franchise that has remained a dominant force in anime for over 26 years. Created by Eiichiro Oda, the series follows Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew on their journey to find the legendary treasure known as the “One Piece.” Over the decades, the property has evolved into one of the most successful multimedia franchises in entertainment, spanning television, films, video games, and merchandise.
Featured Exhibition and Screening
At CCXPMX 2026, fans will gain access to an immersive exhibition designed to bring the world of ONE PIECE to life. The showcase will feature a range of interactive attractions, including a large-scale Monkey D. Luffy Gear 2 balloon, a bounty board, themed light projections, and a Going Merry photo opportunity. The exhibit will run throughout the three-day event, offering attendees multiple chances to explore the experience.
In addition to the exhibition, Toei Animation is organizing a special screening event that is expected to draw significant attention. On Saturday, April 25, fans can attend the Spanish dub premiere of Episodes 913 and 914 at the Thunder Stage by Cinemex. These episodes, which feature major developments in the Wano arc storyline, will be presented exclusively during the event, adding further incentive for attendees.
To enhance fan engagement, the exhibition will also include a limited-time giveaway. Visitors who complete an on-site survey will have a chance to receive exclusive ONE PIECE merchandise, with the first 200 participants on Saturday earning a signature Straw Hat, an unmistakable symbol of the franchise.
Lisa Yamatoya, Senior Director and Head of Marketing at Toei Animation Inc., emphasized the broader significance of the activation. She described the exhibition as both a gesture of appreciation for long-time Mexican fans and an opportunity to introduce new audiences to the series. The initiative reflects Toei Animation’s ongoing efforts to expand its international footprint and strengthen connections with regional fanbases.
About The Event
The timing of the event aligns closely with the anime’s upcoming narrative developments. ONE PIECE is set to return on April 5, 2026, with the debut of its highly anticipated Elbaph arc, further amplifying excitement among fans ahead of CCXPMX.
